Founded in June of 1945, Hardway Sailing Club, situated within Portsmouth harbour is able to provide excellent facilities to sailors based in or visiting this busy harbour.  Visitors are welcome and berthing alongside the pontoon up to 21 days is available.

Club handicap racing for cruisers, dayboats and dinghies takes place at weekends and mid week.

The Club has good shore-side facilities with 500 metres of landing pontoons making accessibility at virtually all states of tide possible.  Fin keel boats are safe to dry out alongside by sinking into soft mud.  There is water taps on pontoons, eight scrubbing grids, two high pressure jet wash systems, two derricks, storage for tenders, cruiser launching trolleys, electric winch and mast and gear stowage.  The clubhouse has a bar, galley, showers and toilets.
