Yarmouth Interclub Race Instructions.

 

Racing will take place under the current ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRs), the prescriptions of the RYA, the current Interclub rules and the individual Race instructions for the event.

Start line: Committee boat and Harwoods Race mark (50°42.86N 01°28.55W)

Start: 10:30BST Time limit 6: 00 hours

10:20 Sound Signal, Code Flag ‘C’ raised.

10:25 Sound Signal, Code Flag ‘P’ raised.

10:30 Sound Signal, Both Flags Lowered.

If yellow race marks are named incorrectly, use the position indicated by the lat/lon.

Finish Line:   If there is no committee boat, pass between Decent Cuppa.com to Starboard and Haslar wall and record your own time and, if possible, the names and times of the boats ahead and astern. Pass these times no later than 19:00 on 21st July 2009 to your club representative or Les Clark on 92 352706 (or Paul on Mobile   07977 462173),  alternatively e-mail them to adrianparker55@btconnect.com.  Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the results.

If the OOD so requires there may be an inner distance mark (IDM)  installed adjacent to the committee boat.   If this is the case than the line will be between the IDM and the ODM and any competitor sailing between the IDM and the committee boat after the 5 minute gun  will be immediately disqualified

Competing yachts must display race numbers and preferably fly their club burgee from the backstay.

Yachts must declare their intention to race to the start boat. Flying an ensign is an indication of retirement and should you retire, please inform your club representative. Radio communication will be on Channel M1 (37) – Please remember to use low power. Any yacht not having finished within the prescribed time limit will be deemed to have retired. Please make sure you have read the Interclub Rules 2009. All Competitors must have completed the race entry form with their respective clubs for eligibility to enter any race in the interclub series.
